Who We Are
The Apprenticeship Training Program is overseen by an eight-member Board of Trustees/Committee Members from within the electrical industry. They are Representatives, Owners or Officers of Electrical Contracting Companies and/or Representatives of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 479.
The Trustee/Committee Members contribute time and energy to oversee the operation of the program without compensation and are dedicated to selecting and training the best applicants.
The IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) and the NECA (National Electrical Contractors Association) believe Contractors and their partners should invest in the necessary training of future craft workers. Our program is to provide an individual with a pathway to becoming a productive member of the community and society. They learn a trade to its highest level and earn a livable wage which allows them to support their local economy and contribute to it by paying taxes. We pride ourselves on having a learning environment that produces qualified craftsmen that exits a 5 year trade school with ZERO STUDENT LOAN DEBT and JOB PLACEMENT.
